Admissions

This is a fantastic time to join our preschool and we would love to welcome you into our community. We try to be as flexible as possible to meet the requirements of our families, offering places for children aged 3 years to 5 years with options to suit every need, including 15-hour and 30-hour places.

You can also email or call us using the contact details at the bottom of the page if you wish to discuss making an application or have any questions.

Apply for a place

Parents/carers can access the Universal 15-hours funding for all 3- and 4-year-olds, with additional hours being applied for via the HMRC website, where you will be issued an eligibility code which you must share with your nursery for your claim to be processed.

30-hour places and funding may also be offered subject to eligibility and availability. Please enquire for further information regarding funded places.

Please note that additional charges for lunchtime care and wraparound care will be added on a monthly basis and meals will be added on a termly basis for children who require hot meals. Once the required days become available to you, our Preschool Management will contact you.

You will be required to complete a preschool registration pack, which will be issued to parents/carers and must be returned as soon as possible for the enrolment process to begin. If for any reason all our sessions and places are full, we can offer placement on a waiting list, and we will try our very best to meet individual requirements.

We know how important it is for children to feel settled and at ease with us at Tinywoods. This is why we provide one induction onsite and one home visit for children. On the first visit, we encourage parents/carers to visit the pre-school with their children and meet our staff and your child’s Key Person. During this visit, parents can inform the Key Person about their child’s routine and any other relevant information to staff, parents are encouraged to leave their child for a short period (up to 2 hours) so that they can get to know our staff and meet their new friends. On the second visit, staff will visit you and your child at home, which we feel is most beneficial.

Any requests for further inductions will be subject to availability.

30-hours Application Process

Parents/carers with children aged 3 and 4 years may be entitled to an extra 15 hours a week of flexible free childcare, entitling them up to 30 hours a week for at least 38 weeks of the year, subject to eligibility and availability.

Fees

Children and families can access Tinywoods Pre-School via government funding and fee-paying places.

Fee paying parents/carers are charged at a daily rate, while parents/carers whose children have access to funding may pay fees to help cover meals alongside additional extra-curricular workshops, experiences and resources.
